Guide to Digital Design
and Branding

of the Planning Administration

The guide defines the brand and the standards for specifying and designing the experience resulting from the human interaction with the services and products of the Planning Administration. It covers everything from the visual appearance that should accompany all digital products to guidelines for customer experience, user experience, client profiling, interface design standards, writing guidelines (microcopy), and accessibility standards.

Area Calculation App

The Area Calculation App assists architects and planners who need to submit detailed information about all the areas in their plans to the licensing committees.

Planners upload their plan files, specify their requests in the system, which then interfaces with a tool capable of extracting the necessary data from the files. Users can utilize the generated report and submit it as part of the licensing application process. This process saves significant time, prevents human errors, and accelerates the review and approval process.

Completed: Research, Prototyping, Design, Character Animation, and Usability Testing

The Future of Geographic Viewing
Digital Transformation

As part of the ideation and specification process for developing next-generation systems at the Planning Administration, a concept for the digital transformation of the geographic viewers (for viewing planning maps) was created.

This concept was formulated following in-depth research, including user interviews, observations, and usability testing. The concept document outlines the vision, goals, customer profiles, experience design, and an overview of the content architecture.

The gradual implementation of this concept will transform the old viewer, which only allowed map viewing, into a powerful and efficient tool that interfaces with other systems within the Planning Administration. It will enable information sharing, public participation, and leverage crowd wisdom, significantly aiding decision-making, fostering collaboration, reducing work times, and preventing errors.

Online Planning Notices

The planning notice is included on all program publications, both in physical locations via a mobile-scannable QR code and in digital formats, ensuring easy access to program details for everyone. Additionally, a new standard simplifies access to this information, allowing users to submit objections to unapproved plans with just one click.

Example of an Online Notice

(Note that objections cannot be submitted as this example shows a plan that has already been approved.)
