The Product Challenge
Executive Overview
Link building and digital PR have historically been major operational bottlenecks for both independent creators and digital agencies.
The process traditionally involved endless spreadsheets, manual publisher negotiations, fragmented content creation, and messy budget tracking.
BestLinks disrupted this landscape by introducing an automated, transactional platform for backlink and content acquisition. I led the end-to-end product design and experience architecture, transforming heavy technical data metrics and manual friction into a sleek, high-performing self-service ecosystem open to anyone via a simple email signup.
The primary UX challenge was establishing a unified workspace that bridges the gap between traditional E-commerce (a simple cart and checkout) and a B2B SaaS platform (where users actively manage, track, and generate content over time). The interface had to handle massive catalogs of publishing sites, complex SEO metrics, and multi-step custom ordering processes without causing cognitive overload or drop-offs in the funnel.

Understanding the Users
The system was architected to accommodate two primary client types under a single, cohesive interface, balancing simplicity with execution speed:

Independent Business Owners: Casual users looking for straightforward self-promotion. Lacking deep SEO knowledge, they require guided steps, clear explanations, and interactive milestones to navigate their optimization tasks with confidence. For them, we developed an integrated "Self-Promotion Wizard" that acts as an online mentor, breaking down the process into manageable steps and providing a guided environment to learn as they build.

SEO Experts & Agencies: High-volume Power-Users managing dozens of active client domains simultaneously. They prioritize execution speed, advanced domain management, and automated bulk-ordering. For them, we designed a robust control center featuring deep tracking tools and an advanced Excel Bulk-Order Tool to upload large-scale datasets instantly.
Strategic UX Solutions

Built a high-performance data table layout with intuitive filtering. Users can filter, analyze, and select premium publishing targets based on live technical metrics (like Domain Rating and Organic Traffic) in seconds, drastically streamlining the research phase.

Frictionless Ordering & Contextual AI Integration
Streamlined the complex parameter-input flow (URLs, anchors, and content briefs). Inside the purchasing funnel, users can utilize an inline, AI-driven copywriter to generate optimized articles and contextual imagery on the fly, seamlessly integrated alongside traditional manual content options to eliminate external tool dependencies.

Guided Environments for Independent Creators
Designed an intuitive onboarding and execution experience tailored for non-technical users. Through clear visual hierarchy, plain-language tooltips, and interactive walkthroughs, the system reduces cognitive load, featuring a dedicated "Self-Promotion Wizard" that guides casual users step by step through their optimization tasks.

Advanced Power Tools for Heavy Users
Integrated high-density management utilities directly within the dashboard area, tailored for expert users and agencies managing multiple accounts. This includes advanced features such as multi-client profile segregation, automated budget tracking, and real-time live link monitoring, built to handle large-scale campaigns efficiently.
As part of the system design, a digital branding process was implemented, which also included a new company logo. This change not only impacted the company's website but also accompanied the marketing campaign that launched the system.
